Bootees for Pressure Ulcer

The Parafricta® Bootee (VELCRO® brand – closure) protects against pressure ulcers (bedsores) caused by friction and associated shear, particularly in the heel area (e.g. red, sore or blistered heels as a result of rubbing or dragging on the bed). It also provides non-stop protection to the other most vulnerable areas of the foot and ankle. It can prevent wound dressings on the foot from being lost due to “rucking-up”. The bootee is very easy to put on, is lightweight, comfortable, has a ventilation area for maximum comfort and a non-slip sole to provide grip when getting out of the chair or bed. The VELCRO® -brand secured opening makes it easier to place over swollen feet, ankles and bulky dressings. It is washable and reusable (60°C, synthetic cycle).

Approval by the NICE Health Organization as preventing pressure ulcers and by the Ministry of Health in Israel.
